Autism Awareness

The last two weeks we have spent reading "Rules" by Cynthia Lord. The story is a very touching one that deals with children with disabilities. The students asked if they could create a project of some sort for the students with autism in our school. Of course I said "Yes!!". We also had Amy Finn from Northwest Special Ed come and do a presentation called "Welcome to My World". It really opened out eyes to see what it would be like to have a disability.
