Oh no!!

I came in to school over our three day weekend to find that none of our tadpoles were living. I'm not sure what happened. Perhaps it was too cold in here while we were all at home. I'm going to have to do a little research. Don't worry though - I have promised the students that we will try again. Let's hope next time we have better luck - much better!

Fire Bellied Toads

This past week our high school biology teacher, Mrs. Einsweiler, asked me if we would like to try to raise some frogs in our classroom. Of course I said YES! So, as of now, our frog eggs are in the middle of hatching into tadpoles. In the next week or so we should see many more. I believe the tadpoles stay in that stage for about 5 weeks. If things progress the way they look right now, we will have more than we know what to do with! Don’t be surprised if you child asks if they can have one! Check back soon for pictures!

Partial Product Multiplication

 Today, we learned how to multiply bigger numbers using the Partial Product algorithm. The students absolutely loved it! Be sure to ask your child to show you how it is done.
